The LGS-SOAR Program hosts potential LGS students (current NON-Emory Undergraduate scholars) who want to explore, experience, and conduct full-time independent and mentored research in the biomedical, biological, natural and public health sciences along with scholarly inquiry in the humanities and humanistic social sciences for the summer. LGS-SOAR offers two modes of participation: in-person or remote.
The INfectious Diseases Summer Program Integrating Research at Emory (INSPIRE) offers a 10-week, immersive research experience for students, guided by Emory faculty mentors. After the on-campus program, participants continue to receive mentorship, with opportunities to analyze their findings, publish in journals, and present at conferences. Designed to support students from underrepresented backgrounds, INSPIRE fosters pathways to careers and further education in infectious disease research.
The Summer Undergraduate Program in Emory Renal Research (SUPERR) promotes an appreciation for the study of kidney, urology, and hematologic (KUH) diseases among undergraduate students who are interested in furthering their scientific research and could be encouraged to pursue a career in biomedical scientific research.
