Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion


Through our dedication to the creation and dissemination of knowledge, Emory College of Arts and Sciences leads Emory University in setting the standard for what a liberal arts research university can achieve.

To fulfill this mission, we embrace and practice the values and principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion that are essential to our academic excellence.

These values and principles guide every aspect of our work in Emory College, from our recruitment, support, and mentoring of faculty, students, and staff, to the development and expansion of our curricula, advancement of our research mission, and collaborative engagements across the University, the city of Atlanta, and the world.

Equity and Inclusion Resource Toolkit

This useful resource provides an overview of federal laws and regulations and Emory policies pertaining to equal opportunity, affirmative action, Title IX, veterans, and the ADA.

Professional Development and Training

The Office of Institutional Equity and Compliance provides training to help create comfortable and equitable classrooms and workplaces at Emory, such as:

 

  • Online and in-person training addressing various workplace topics
  • Accessibility services and training
  • Title IX annual training for volunteers and incoming students, faculty, and staff
Emory Continuing Education (ECE), the university's noncredit division, offers professional development courses that focus on emerging technologies, management, and information technology (IT), among other topics including:
