For information about orientation and programs on the Oxford Campus for incoming students or their parents and family members, please visit the Oxford Onboarding website which goes live mid-May.
Important Dates for Transfer Students
- Late May: Registration opens for the International Student Welcome (ISW), required for students with an F-1 visa
- May - June, 2024: Meet with your OUE Academic Advisor via Zoom (Emory College Transfer Students)
- June 18 - July 8, 2024: Register for courses in OPUS
- August 19 - 23, 2024:International Student Welcome (ISW), required for students with an F-1 visa
- August 24 - 27, 2024: Orientation Week (required for all transfer students)
- August 28, 2024: First Day of Classes
- August 28 - October 13: Emory Weeks of Welcome events
- September 2, 2024: Labor Day
- No classes, res halls and dining remain open
- September TBD: Fall tuition due
- October 14 - 15, 2024: Fall Break
- No classes, res halls and dining remain open
- November 27 - 29, 2024: Thanksgiving Break**
- No classes, res halls and dining remain open
- December 12 - 18, 2024: Final Exams**
- January 14, 2025: First Day of Classes Spring 2025

**Fall schedules will be finalized by the end of Add/Drop/Swap on September 11. Please wait to schedule any travel until schedules are finalized.
UPDATE CONTACT INFORMATION IN OPUS
In order to receive essential information throughout the summer, contact information for both students and their families needs to be correct within OPUS. Only family members who are added in OPUS will receive family-specific email communications.
Students should update OPUS by using the following steps:
- Retrieve their Emory NetID and password. This is different from the Admissions Application Portal login.
- Log into OPUS using Emory NetID and password.
- Click on the “Profile” tile, then update their and their family members’ contact information.
- Select “Email and Phone Numbers.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
- Select “Parent/Guardian Addresses.” Review and update if needed. Click “Save” to submit changes.
SUMMER ONBOARDING SUPPORT AT-A-GLANCE
- The Emory Welcome Transfer Orientation App will be ready to download in May, 2024
- Monthly communications to both transfer students and families will begin on May 8, 2024
- Family Friday Webinars will begin in June, 2024. Check description if applicable for transfer families.
- Summer Send-off registration will open in June, 2024
- Student Webinars will begin in May, 2024
- Academic Advising led by staff members in Emory College or Goizueta via Zoom will begin May, 2024
- 1:1 calls with Orientation Leaders (current upperclass students) will begin July, 2024
