In addition to providing financial support for education, research, and specialized training, these programs connect Emory students and alumni with likeminded peers and mentors, provide opportunities for leadership development, and expand their vision of what is possible.




Each year, recent Emory graduates and current graduate students travel abroad to conduct research, undertake graduate degrees, and teach English through the support of the Fulbright US Student Program.
Supported by the US State Department and binational commissions and foundations abroad, the Fulbright program expands perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-cultural dialogue.With grants available to over 150 countries, Emory students and recent graduates can find the ideal opportunity to further their language training, research, professional preparation, and community-based leadership.
Recent recipients have pursued diverse paths, including graduate education in animation, public health, translation, and nutrition sciences at universities in the U.K. and Portugal; English teaching roles in elementary, secondary, and post-secondary institutions in countries like Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Romania, Greece, and Spain; and to conduct independent research in a variety of fields from biomedical sciences to music composition. Emory has been recognized for nine consecutive years as a top-producing institution for Fulbright grants.
