Who We Are
The Office of Research Funding Support (ORFS) works to increase the profile and support of the research and scholarship of Emory College faculty and students. ORFS oversees the process to award internal grants such as PERS (Program to Enhance Research and Scholarship) and supports faculty in their interactions with central university units to secure and support funding sources. The ECAS Heilbrun Distinguished Emeritus Fellowship is now accepting applications for its 26th year. The program awards two $10,000 fellowships to eligible Emory College of Arts & Sciences emeritus faculty for the 2026–2027 academic year. Faculty who achieved emeritus status on or before September 1, 2025, and have not previously received the award, may apply.
Selection is based on the project’s connection to the applicant’s prior research, feasibility within the fellowship period, relevance to Emory’s resources, and overall value to the discipline.
Recipients must submit a final report, acknowledge fellowship support in publications, attend committee events, and comply with Emory research and travel policies.

RESUBMIT Pilot Program
The RESUBMIT Pilot Program supports Emory College of Arts and Sciences faculty in strengthening and resubmitting external grant proposals through structured mock review feedback modeled after external agency panels. In partnership with the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research (SVPR), the program offers financial incentives to increase proposal competitiveness and external funding success. Eligible faculty who complete a qualifying mock review and resubmit their proposal may receive a $2,000 incentive award to their discretionary research account. Faculty reviewers participating in the mock review process will receive a $500 honorarium. The program is open to regular, full-time Emory College faculty pursuing external funding of $10,000 or more.
Applications are accepted via InfoReady through May 31, 2026.
For more information, visit InfoReady or contact Shanoa Young.
Bridge Funding
Bridge Funding is available to those investigators who have a history of external funding and who have recently had a primary source of funding declined by a granting agency. Bridge funding is made only after funds available in the investigator’s non-sponsored research account are below $5,000 (NSPs [previously known as #2 accounts] will be monitored). If you qualify, you may apply at any point in the academic year, by submitting the following materials to Anita Corbett, Senior Associate Dean for Research.
- Requested amount (up to $25,000) with a budget and budget justification.
- Current CV.
- Reviews and scores from a current proposal that has not been funded.
- Plans for submission of a revised application of the current proposal or a new funding application.
Research Administration Services - ECAS RAS
ORFS assists faculty as needed in working with the Emory College of Arts & Sciences Research Administration Services (ECAS RAS) unit, which launched in May 2016 to provide centralized research administration services to faculty, including all pre- and post-award preparation and research administration.
