Year of Compassion - Toolkit

The Year of Compassion is a yearlong celebration hosted by Emory College of Arts and Sciences, dedicated to empathy, healing, and human connection. This initiative invites faculty, staff, and students to explore how compassion is expressed through teaching, research, creative work, service, and daily interactions.

This toolkit is designed to support your participation—whether you're planning an event, sharing a story, or amplifying our collective message. Our goal is to foster a visible and inclusive culture of compassion across Emory.

My hope is that someday society will see compassion to be as valuable and essential to a good life as clean water.

Lobsang Tenzin Negi, PhD Executive Director, Emory Compassion Center

Recommended Approach:

  • Use your standard signature block as the foundation.
  • Add a single line beneath the signature that references the Year of Compassion, with a small horizontal lockup.
