Office of Research Funding Support
The Office of Research Funding Support (ORFS) works to increase the profile and support of the research and scholarship of Emory College faculty and students. Under the leadership of Senior Associate Dean for Research Ronald Calabrese, ORFS:

- Promotes grant submissions and interacts with the central university Office of Sponsored Programs and Foundations and Corporate Relations to foster grants for restricted programs.
- Provides matching funds, administrative help, and release time in support of grant proposals. Assists faculty in the identification of sources of funding.
- Acts as a special advocate for the faculty with the Colleges and Professional Schools (CAPS) RAS, which provides all pre-and post-award administrative support for research grants.
- Supports faculty in their interactions with additional university offices of research administration, including the Office of Research Compliance, Institutional Review Board, Division of Animal Resources, Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Technology Transfer, and others.
- Promotes compliance with all policies, regulations, and procedures (including university, state, federal, individual sponsors) related to research and external funding of Emory College’s research endeavors.
