Biography

As Fellowships Advisor in the National Scholarships & Fellowships Program, Olivia Hendricks advises Emory College students and alums throughout the process of applying to awards.

Dr. Hendricks completed her PhD and MA in English at Emory University and her BA in Psychology at Lawrence University. Previously, she has worked with Emory students in the Emory Writing Center, in the English Language Learning Program (ELLP), and as an instructor of writing-intensive courses. 

Her recent academic research has used interdisciplinary methods to study the domestic and foreign impacts of U.S. citizen diplomacy initiatives. Her work and teaching regularly incorporate texts both in English and in Spanish. Dr. Hendricks draws on her earlier research background in developmental and educational psychology to inform her advising approach.
