Maddie Hasson Peer Ambassador, National Scholarships & Fellowships Program

 

Biography

Maddie is a fourth-year student majoring in Chemistry and Anthropology & Human Biology.

She works at the Emory Musculoskeletal Institute as an undergraduate researcher in the Patel Lab, where she studies pharmacological treatments for cartilage regeneration, and is specifically interested in studying sex differences in response to treatments for orthopedic disease. Outside of school and the lab, she volunteers for a local domestic violence prevention center. She plans to apply to a MD-PhD program in the spring and continue her research. She received the Goldwater scholarship in the 2022-2023 cycle
