Biography

Georgia Brunner is a Graduate Assistant for the National Scholarship and Fellowship Program, where they are also a PhD Candidate in the History Department. Georgia conducts research on gender and labor in colonial East Africa, for which they received awards from the Fulbright U.S. Student Program and the Fulbright-Hays, as well as two Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships and the Halle Graduate Global Research Fellowship. Georgia’s research has been awarded with the Francis S. Benjamin Prize and the ​​Emory Institute of African Studies Graduate Student Prize.
