Academic Programs

Across Emory College of Arts and Sciences, there are a number of academic programs and initiatives that students are encouraged to engage with. This page lists some of the opportunities available to students.

Academic Departments & Programs
Emory College is home to more than 45 academic departments and programs. Each department or program is host to a number of majors, minors and courses available to all Emory College students.
Academic Internships

The Academic Internships Initiative within the Office of International and Summer Programs (OISP) seeks to connect students with meaningful academic internships that align with their liberal arts majors and create structured credit-bearing opportunities to translate liberal arts skills into workplace experiences. These experiences can help prepare students for the global workforce through enhanced cross-cultural competencies.

Academic Majors & Minors
Emory College is home to more than 80 majors or joint majors, and over 60 minors. The Emory College catalog gives a full listing of all approved majors and minors available to students.
Emory Scholars Program

The highly selective Emory College Scholars Program is designed to enrich the scholars overall experience -- to broaden their intellectual horizons, to strengthen their ethical sensibilities, and to deepen their personal growth.

National Scholarships and Fellowships

The National Scholarships & Fellowships Program office provides information and support for current Emory students and recent alumni/ae in pursuit of nationally competitive merit awards.

New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation is a collaboration between Emory College of Arts and Sciences and the Division of Campus Life that strives to acclimate successfully and holistically all new students.

Pre-Health Advising

The Pre-Health Advising Office encourages all students to explore the vast number of careers in healthcare.
