Jessica Eyeson Peer Ambassador, National Scholarships & Fellowships Program

 

Biography

Jessica Eyeson is a fourth year student majoring in Engineering Sciences: Materials Science
Track and minoring in Sociology for premed.


Jessica is a Robert W. Woodruff Scholar. She is passionate about increasing the accessibility,
affordability, and efficiency of healthcare through a career in medicine and health policy. She
was a 2023-2024 FACES in Georgia Perinatal Health Fellow in which she engaged in advocacy
work for community health workers. In the future, she plans to pursue an MD/MPH with a
concentration in health policy. Jessica is also a student researcher in the Weeks Soft Matter Lab
where she is studying a biomaterial used in biomedical interventions. Outside of academics, she
is involved in various organizations on campus including serving as the President of Emory
Collegiate Black Christians and the Education Coordinator of Emory Rural Health Initiative.
Jessica applied for the Truman Scholarship and Fulbright Research/Study Grant.
