Debate Scholarship

The Barkely Forum Center for Debate Education, named after former United States vice president and Emory alumnus Alben W. Barkley, is the home of Emory's nationally ranked intercollegiate policy debate team. The Barkley Forum Center for Debate Education, in conjunction with the Emory Office of Admission, awards a merit scholarship to an incoming first-year Emory College student each year. To be considered, applicants must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and debate excellence.  The scholarship covers full tuition and fees.  Finalists for the Debate Scholarship are also considered for and may be offered a Robert W. Woodruff "Debate" Scholarship, which consists of full tuition, fees, and on-campus room, and board.
