About Us

In 1979, Robert W. Woodruff, past president of the Coca-Cola Company and philanthropist, planted the seeds for what would become the Emory Scholars Program through his generous gift of $105 million to Emory. One outcome of that gift was the creation of the Woodruff Scholars. We encourage you to learn more about the Woodruff legacy and the connection to the Scholar Qualities of intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, servant leadership, communication skills, and contribution to community. Click on Contact Us for a link to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions which explains how to apply to be an Emory Scholar and to see the full-time and student staff and faculty who support the program.

On this site, you can also learn more about both the Program and Scholarship components of the Emory Scholars Program.
