In June both your student and you should receive a postcard from Emory College of Arts and Sciences. The postcard will direct your student to a Blackboard website, which contains important information that she/he should review and complete prior to arrival this fall, especially academic information and and a checklist of important tasks to complete over the summer.
Important information for parents is housed on this website. Plan to return to this website frequently over the summer to view important updates to orientation and academic information.
The most frequent question we receive from parents is about the timing of parent events during Orientation. Special Orientation events are planned for parents on the afternoon of Saturday, August 22, 2009, and the morning of Sunday, August 23, 2009. We ask that parents depart campus in the afternoon of Sunday, August 23; students begin their mandatory advising sessions at this time and become very busy. More specific information regarding these parent events is listed in the Orientation Schedule.
