First Year Students

First-Year Students have a vast network of people and resources to assist them in their transition to academic life at Emory and help them plan their goals.  All incoming students are part of a unique program called PACE (Pre-major Advising Connections at Emory) and are assigned to a faculty advisor and peer Orientation Leader who are among the first to advise and mentor them.  To supplement these relationships, PACE 101 is a required one credit-hour course taken in the first semester that introduces students to academic opportunities and fosters connection and engagement with a diverse range of programs and services on campus.  An additional resource for students is the Advising Office located 300 White Hall which offers individual consultations with academic advisors and deans.
