Serving as the Assistant Director of the Pre-Major Advising Connections at Emory (PACE) Program, Tina McDowell is responsible for developing all program materials and coordinating resources for all students, staff and faculty who interact with the program. She also serves as a member of several PACE planning committees.
Outside of OUE, Ms McDowell has spent seven years serving with the Emory College Staff Consortium, including a term as the Consortium Chair (2008-9). During her time on the committee she promoted various professional staff development opportunities through collaboration with various on- and off-campus partners.
Ms McDowell holds a Masters in Education Administration from Strayer University and a Bacherlors in Business Administration degree from Indiana State University. She began working with Emory University in 1989 and in 1991 she joined the Office for Undergraduate Education. Ms McDowell began working with the first-year advising program in 1997. Away from her Emory career, Ms McDowell has worked with local non-profit entrepreneurs in developing mentoring programs for middle school students.
