Biography

As the Program Coordinator for the PreHealth Mentoring Office, Riakeem Kelley is responsible for a range of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the program. He is the first point of contact for visitors to the office, handles phone traffic, schedules various office events and meetings and helps keep the composite letter process organized.

Riakeem was born in Manhattan, Kansas, though grew up in Georgia.  He received his Associate’s degree from Oxford College (2011) and his Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from Emory University (2013). During his time as an Oxford College student he co-founded the "Bad Singers of Oxford" group, was the Poetry Liaison for the Oxford Spokesman, and served as Writing Tutor. He also received the Oxford English award for outstanding performance. Upon moving to the Atlanta campus, was actively involved with the Emory Wheel and worked with the Office of Residence Life and Housing as a Resident Advisor and as a student administrative assistant. Upon graduating from Emory College, Riakeem spent a year as a Residence Life Hall Director and a Fellow for the Third Year at Emory Program.
