Dana Tottenham is Senior Associate Director, Global Internships within the Office of International and Summer Programs (OISP) at Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Emory University.  She oversees the Co-Curricular Internships Initiative, connecting liberal arts majors with innovative online coursework, engaged reflection, and industry sector exploration.  She developed and is responsible for the Emory College Global Internship Program.  In collaboration the Dean, she helped launch the pilot ECS 102: Liberal Arts Edge course.  She has managed oversight of Terra Dotta Software and connected technology systems.

Her professional areas of interest include intersections of applied anthropology, education, and global mobility.  Her background includes her own experiential learning opportunities as a study abroad student in England and Spain, an in-law to her Taiwanese family, and an administrator collaborating with the Tibetan community in India.  She has worked as an international educator for over 20 years in capacities ranging from program development, project management, business analysis, technology implementation, student advising and administration.  She has completed training and workshops with professional organizations including NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Forum on Education Abroad, and Society for Applied Anthropology.  She earned an M.A. in Anthropology (Georgia State University) and a B.A. in English/Spanish (Emory University).

She currently serves as Director, Vibrant Content for Members for the Global Leadership League, an organization dedicated to furthering leadership for women in international education.  In 2018, she was invited to serve as an inaugural member of the Engaged Anthropology Committee for the Department of Anthropology at Georgia State University.

A proud native Texan, Dana lives in Decatur, Georgia with her husband and two sons, is an engaged volunteer in her community, and loves to swim, run, and eat Tex-Mex (when she’s not dodging Nerf darts and/or stepping on Legos). Her favorite story is when fellow Emory colleague Sherry Ebrahimi delivered her second son in the car- it's their "story that nevers gets old" to share.
