Laura Ochs is the Director of Emory College Study Abroad. In this role, Laura oversees the work of the Study Abroad team, managing study abroad policies and process. She also works closely with Emory faculty on the development and implementation of Emory Summer Study Abroad Programs. For more than 10 years, Laura has been administering international educational opportunities for U.S. students abroad. Just prior to coming to Emory, Laura worked at the George Washington University in the Office for Study Abroad, where she managed the study abroad advising team and coordinated both short-term and semester-long international opportunities.
Laura holds a B.A. in English from Rollins College and an M.A. in International Education from the George Washington University. She studied abroad in London and lived for two years in Kumamoto, Japan while teaching English to high school students as an Assistant Language Teacher on the JET Program.
