Emory Internal Awards
BREDOW SCHOLARSHIP · Emory award for students with significant leadership in the Jewish community and unmet financial need; provides partial tuition for one year (apply January of freshman, sophomore, or junior year).
SONNY CARTER SCHOLARSHIP · Emory award that provides partial tuition for senior year in Emory College for students with outstanding academic records and significant leadership and service experience (apply February of junior year).
DEAN’S ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP · Emory award that provides a partial tuition scholarship for each remaining year, along with membership in the Emory Scholars Program; emphasizes academic achievement, service, and leadership (apply May of freshman or sophomore year; not open to Oxford continuees).
BOBBY JONES FELLOWSHIP · Emory award that funds a one-year master’s degree at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in the schools of Divinity or International Relations, or in the Neuroscience program (requires NBB endorsement); open to students enrolled in any Emory school; emphasizes academic achievement (apply January of senior year or as an early-career Emory graduate student).
BOBBY JONES SCHOLARSHIP · Emory award that funds one year of study at the University of St Andrews in Scotland in any field; open to students enrolled in any Emory school; emphasizes academic excellence, leadership, and exemplary character, integrity, and citizenship (apply January of senior year or as an early-career Emory graduate student).
MELLON MAYS FELLOWSHIP · Emory award that supports underrepresented students who plan to pursue doctoral study in select arts and sciences fields; provides junior and senior year research stipend (apply February of sophomore year).
CHARLES ELIAS SHEPARD SCHOLARSHIP · One-year award to fund graduate study in a top-ranked masters or PhD program; open to students from any Emory University school; emphasizes intellectual ability, scholastic achievement and personal promise (apply April of senior year or as an alum up to 3 years post-grad).
