Each program is highly interdisciplinary and features daily lectures and discussions with renowned academics, journalists, politicians and activists, as well as site visits to government agencies, non-profit and community organizations, museums and memorials. The programs seek to highlight different models of action to remedy injustice. Separate programs take place every summer in Amsterdam, Berlin, Copenhagen, Paris, and Warsaw. After the summer program, HIA supports Fellows’ continue involvement in minority and human rights issues through prestigious national and international internships, a trans-Atlantic professional network, and Senior Fellows Associations in the United States and Europe, as well as completing a one-year Action Project.
