staff awards staff awards

The College Staff Service Award Ceremony and Reception for 2018-2019 is Thursday, August 22 at 3 p.m. in the Atwood Chemistry Building, 2nd Floor atrium area.

In 2006, Emory College instituted the Emory College Service Awards to be presented each year in recognition of College employees who complete milestone years of service (multiples of 5 years) at Emory University.

In this annual event, held at the end of the summer each year, the Dean of the College publicly recognizes service milestone recipients with monetary service awards and an ice cream reception. All current and retired College staff and faculty are invited to attend this event.

Performance Evaluation Training

The College performance evaluation time is upon us. This year, as was done last year, there will be a central HR automated email "push" April 15th that invites all regular College staff to complete their self-evaluation.

A full FY19 evaluation and FY20 merit information packet will be sent to your Chairs/Directors this week. Staff supervisors will be asked to complete the performance evaluation review, hold the performance meeting, and finalize the staff evaluation document by Friday, May 31.

For those who are new to the tool and/or want a refresher session, College HR is offering one. This session will cover how to complete the performance evaluation document and also provide an overview of the performance competencies and ratings with time for questions throughout.

College HR will be offering a Supervisor training session on completing the performance evaluation document.
Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 2– 3 pm.
White Hall Building, Room 100
Because space is limited, please RSVP to Denese Jester (djester@emory.edu) if you wish to attend.

As a reminder, the central HR Performance Management site includes everything you ever wanted to know (and more) about Performance Management.

Please let your staff know about the central HR "push" inviting them to complete their self-evaluations and the training sessions offered by College HR above.

If you have any questions, please contact Joel Tingle at joel.tingle@emory.edu or send your inquiry to ECAS-Merit@emory.edu.
