May 6, 2024

Dear Emory College Graduates,

As announced in President Fenves’s message earlier today, the venue for Emory University’s 2024 Commencement exercises has been changed, along with the venues and timing for school commencement ceremonies. You can find additional details of these changes at commencement.emory.edu.

Our Emory College Graduation team is working diligently to finalize the details for our new ceremony location, Gas South Arena at 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth, Georgia 30097. While our location has changed, we are pleased to confirm that the date and time of our ceremony, your lineup, as well as your recognition remain the same:

  • University Ceremony: Monday, May 13 at 8:30 a.m.
    • The Emory College Diploma Ceremony will begin around 10 a.m.
  • Graduate Lineup: Please arrive at 7 a.m. Plan for additional travel time to the new location. On Friday, May 10, you will receive a GradPass with your line-up location.
  • Graduate Recognition: Each graduate will still be recognized as they cross the stage.
  • Guest Tickets
    • The guest tickets you received for the University Ceremony WILL be used for our new location. Your guests must have a ticket for entry.
    • Tickets will be scanned at entry and may not be reused.

Please continue to monitor your email for further updates and specific details as they become available. A list of FAQs, including parking and bag policies, is posted on the University Commencement website. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please submit them using this form and we will collect all responses to update the Emory College Commencement FAQs as needed.

Thank you for your patience as we work to make this celebration memorable and meaningful for the Class of 2024.

Sincerely,
Emory College Graduation Team
