Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to Emory College of Arts and Sciences!

Orientation for international students begins on Thursday, August 23rd at 8am.  You should plan on arriving to campus on Wednesday, August 22nd.  Shuttles will be available to bring first-year international students to campus on Wednesday, August 22nd.  Please visit the International Student and Scholar Programs (ISSP) website for more information about preparing for your arrival to Emory.

All new international students must bring their original documents to the first session of International Student Orientation on August 23rd.  This includes Form I-20 or DS-2019 (the document issued by Emory University,) and your passport.  Inside your passport, you should have the F-1 or J-1 entry visa stamp (unless you are a citizen of a country that is visa exempt) as well as the I-94 Arrival/Departure record, a small white card that will be issued to you at the U.S. port of entry.

Later this spring, you will receive information from Emory College of Arts and Sciences directing you to a Blackboard website.  This website contains important information that you should review prior to your arrival this fall, especially academic information and and a checklist of important tasks you need to complete over the summer. View detailed instructions for logging in to Blackboard here.  It is crucial that you visit this course on Blackboard to learn more about the Emory English Assessment, and to register your arrival day and time.

Plan to return both to Blackboard and this website frequently over the summer to view important updates to Orientation and academic information.

We look forward to your arrival on campus this fall. Please do not hesitate to contact us at the below number or e-mail address if you have additional questions.
