Welcome and congratulations on your acceptance to Emory College of Arts and Sciences!
Orientation for international students begins on Friday, August 22nd. You may move-in starting at 8:00 am that morning. Special requests to move-in on Thursday, August 21st may be sent to email@example.com. Move-in on Thursday will take place from 4pm-8pm. For your safety and the safety of our staff, absolutely no students will be allowed to move-in after 8:00pm on Thursday. Information about local accommodations can be found under Planning Your Visit. Orientation Leaders will be available during the day to help you find your residence hall and answer questions.
All new international students must bring their original documents to the immigration session of International Student Orientation on August 22rd. This includes Form I-20 or DS-2019 (the document issued by Emory University,) and your passport. Inside your passport, you should have the F-1 or J-1 entry visa stamp (unless you are a citizen of a country that is visa exempt) as well as the I-94 Arrival/Departure record, a small white card that will be issued to you at the U.S. port of entry.
Please visit the International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) website for more information about preparing for your arrival to Emory. Please also check this site frequently as we'll update it throughout the summer.
