Catalog Description: A comparative study of political, economic, and organizational dynamics of health care institutions in the United States and Britain through seminars, site visits, and internship experience in London, England.

Semester Details:

This is a six-week, London-based program focusing on issues and problems in health care delivery in Great Britain and the United States. Emphasis is on the comparative social organization of the two systems, contrasting the evolution and current state of each. In the spring, students attend three pre-departure meetings. While in London, the program includes lectures by local experts, a research project, site visits to and internships in health care settings, field trips, and cultural activities.
