Prerequisites: ENVS 240.

Catalog Description: Prerequisite: Environmental Studies 240 or permission. This course will use ecological concepts to investigate questions (problems) on the Emory campus. The course will combine lectures with laboratory exercises designed to elaborate on lecture material and to give students a hands on experience in the application of concepts to the field setting.

Semester Details:

This course will use ecological concepts to investigate questions (challenges) on the Emory campus. The course will combine lectures with laboratory exercises designed to elaborate on lecture material and to give students a hands on experience in the application of concepts to the field setting.  Half of the course will focus on the natural environment of campus and the other half of the course will focus on issues of sustainability on the built environment, especially focusing on principles of green building.  Fulfills the Upper Level Elective and Upper Level Lab requirement for ENVS majors.  For Fall 2011, fulfills the Field course requirement for ENVS majors.
