Parents and Families of Emory College Nonsenior Students

Earlier today you should have received a detailed message from President Fenves about Emory University’s revised plans for the spring semester.

Please see the following message that was sent to your student with additional Emory College details from me. We know that students (and families) were hoping more students could return for spring semester but unfortunately the continuing challenges we face with COVID-19 have prevented us from this. We share in the deep disappointment that some of you will feel with this decision, but it is one we make in the best interests of the overall health and safety of our community at this time.

While much has changed in last year, the core elements of the Emory experience have remained the same: We are delivering courses that meet Emory’s rigorous standards, taught by our world-renowned faculty and your student continues to have access to the resources of our research university. Our faculty and staff remain deeply committed to their success and development more than ever.

For the latest information, please bookmark the Emory Forward website, which will feature frequent updates on university plans and detailed information on public health and safety protocols. You may also send your questions and concerns to family@emory.edu.

For questions related to academics and your students’ courses, please reach out to the Emory College Office for Undergraduate Education at oue.advising@emory.edu.

Sincerely yours,
Michael A. Elliott, PhD
Dean, Emory College of Arts and Sciences
