Emory Senior Class Reception
Emory Conference Center Hotel

For students graduating with baccalaureate degrees from Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, and Goizueta Business School; others by invitation only. Shuttles will be available to carry passengers from campus. The reception offers an opportunity for students to celebrate their graduation with one another before commencement events that are open to family and guests begin. The reception ends with the traditional Coca-Cola Toast by a distinguished faculty member and a ceremonial candlelight Crossover Ceremony to the Miller-Ward Alumni House. Baccalaureate Service

The Baccalaureate tradition is an integral part of Commencement exercises, marking the end of a student's undergraduate years. Emory's Baccalaureate is an inter-religious service with prayers and readings from various religious traditions. Baccalaureate is for all students receiving bachelor's degrees (BA,BS,BSN,BBA) and their guests.

Students in caps and gowns assemble on the Quadrangle near the Administration Building at 9:00 a.m. and follow marshals and the bagpiper to Glenn. In case of rain, graduates should go directly to the Fellowship Hall of the Church School Building behind Glenn Auditorium.

For the service, guests should park in the Fishburne Parking Deck. Those attending the Commencement brunch may then walk or ride the shuttle to the Brunch.

Tickets are required for each person; tickets are $9.00 per person and may be ordered online or by mail/fax from Emory University Dining Services. Students can pick up tickets at the Information Desk in the DUC prior to Sunday, May 10. A limited number of tickets will be available for purchase on the day of the event, by cash or check. No tickets will be mailed. Shuttles will be available from the Dobbs University Center to the President's Open House and to the Michael Street and Fishburne parking decks. Various locations around the Quadrangle

All students line up at locations designated for their schools. Schools will distribute Instructions and locations.

8:00-9:15 a.m.
The 165th Commencement Exercises of Emory University
The Quadrangle

The academic procession begins at 8:00 a.m. President James W. Wagner will preside over the exercises. The ceremony includes the Commencement speaker, conferral of Honorary Degrees, and conferral of graduate degrees en masse.. Parking is available in all University parking decks and around the campus periphery, with shuttle service to the Quadrangle. Guests should plan to arrive early. The diploma ceremonies for the various schools will proceed at locations and times listed on this Event Schedule.

Emory College of Arts and Sciences Diploma Ceremony
Quadrangle
Graduating seniors and their guests will remain on the Quadrangle following the completion of the University commencement exercises. Dean Robert A. Paul will preside over the presentation of diplomas. SureShot Photography will take pictures as each graduate crosses the stage. Proofs and information on viewing the photographs willbe on website and purchased photographs will be mailedto the student's home address of record. President’s Open House
Lullwater House

For all graduating students, their families and guests, and alumni. Hosted by President and Mrs. James W. Wagner.

Graduates, alumni, and their guests are invited to meet the Wagners and to tour Lullwater House. Shuttle buses located in front of the Dobbs University Center will take brunch guests to Lullwater House. Those not attending the Commencement brunch should park at the Michael Street Parking Deck, from where shuttle buses will take guests to Lullwater. Shuttles will return guests to both the Michael Street and Fishburne decks.
