Commitment
- Complete the project as described under the supervision of your faculty mentor.
- SIRE grants are cost of research grants. All receipts for grant expenses must be retained and submitted in a timely fashion to the SIRE office for reimbursement. In some cases, purchases or travel arrangements can be made through our office and charged directly to the SIRE account.
- Attend bi-weekly SIRE grant recipient meetings. Meeting topics will be a mixture of research issues and presentations by peer grant recipients. College faculty will be periodic guests. These meetings are a required condition of the grant. At least once during the term, each grant recipient will present their research in progress during these meetings.
- Presentation of your project in an approved campus research symposium. Presentations can take a variety of forms, including an oral presentation, a poster, a performance, or other appropriate form. Some grant recipients will present research in progress, rather than completed research projects.
- Write a final report and summary of the project to post on the SIRE web site.
